The XIX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Statistics: Problems and Prospects for Development” was held

On December 3, 2021, the XIX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Statistics: Problems and Prospects for Development” was held, organized by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine and the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit were held. The conference was held online on the ZOOM platform with a parallel broadcast on the official Facebook pages of NASAA and the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Rector of the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit Oleksandr Osaulenko greeted the conference participants.

Chairman of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine Ihor Verner, Advisor to the President of the Central Statistical Office, Professor, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw Wlodzimierz Okrasa (Poland), Head of the Department of Socio-Demographic Statistics of the Ptoukha Institute for Demography and Social Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Volodymyr Sarioglo, Director of Statistical Office in Rzeszów Marek Tserpel-Volan (Poland), Chief Researcher of the Ptoukha Institute for Demography and Social Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Maryna Pugachova, Vice-President of the Institute of Professional Qualifications Sergii Prytomanov, Adviser to the Chairman of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine Vadym Pishcheyko took part in the discussion of theoretical and practical issues.

Interesting were the speeches of the conference participants – practitioners: analyst of the Ukrainian Center for Public Data Renata Nasridinova, senior manager of geographic information systems and databases of the international NGO IMPACT Initiatives Yaroslav Smirnov and VoxUkraine analyst Nazar Moshnyaga.

The conference was attended by more than 100 scientists and practitioners from different cities of Ukraine and abroad, including France, Poland, India, Morocco, etc. After the speeches of the speakers, there was a lively discussion, during which the participants asked questions to the speakers, left comments and feedback.
