On December 10, 2024, the Department of Statistics, IT and Mathematical Methods in Economics organized and held a guest lecture with Ksenia Androsovych, DSc in Psychology, Senior Researcher, Head of the Department of Psychology and Social and Humanitarian Sciences of the International Scientific and Technical University named after Academician Yuri Bugay. Moderator: Olena Horobets – PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Statistics, IT and Mathematical Methods in Economics. During the lecture, Mrs. Androsovych focused on interpreting the concept of “stress,” its types and methods of avoidance; offered participants stress level testing, practical breathing and meditation exercises. On November 18, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Statistics, IT and Mathematical Methods in Economics Olena Horobets as a speaker took part in the “Autumn School of the Young Scientist 4.0.” The organizer of this project for graduate students is the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. On November 12, 2024, a binary lesson on the course “Databases” was held for students of the educational programs “Computer Science and Information Technology” of the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit and “Software Engineering” of the Professional College of Business and Analytics. The lesson was conducted by Oleksander Stavytsky, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Statistics, IT and Mathematical Methods in Economics. On October 25, 2024 the Head of Department of Statistics, IT and Mathematical Methods in Economics, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor – O. Horobets attended the webinar presented by Chun-houh Chen, Ph.D., Director of the Institute of Statistical Science at Academia Sinica (Taiwan) and President-Elect of the International Association for Statistical Computing. The webinar topic: “Data Visualization and Exploratory Data Analysis with Matrix Visualization”. The webinar was organized with the support of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC) and the International Statistical Institute (ISI). During the presentation, Chun-houh Chen focused on the characteristics of Data Science and highlighted the features and complexities of big data analysis.
