On October 31, 2024, scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance, along with students of the first (bachelor) level of higher education, joined the guest lecture by Yurii Horodnichenko on the topic “The financial system of Ukraine during the war”, organized by the public organization “Vox Ukraine”.
Yurii Horodnichenko is a professor at the University of California (Berkeley), a researcher of monetary and fiscal policy, and a member of the Vox Ukraine editorial board.
In the conditions of a war of attrition, financial stability is the key to the country’s sovereignty. Today, issues related to the government debt, trade balance, monetary policy, construction of a new financial architecture, and the macro-financial path of the West have become especially relevant.
The lecture explained how Ukraine is actually coping with these challenges and what policies will contribute to long-term financial stability.
