On April 27, 2021, on the basis of cooperation between the Department of Statistics of the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Auditing and the Population Research Sector of the M.V. Ptukha Institute of Demography and Social Research of the NAS of Ukraine, an open online lecture was held using the Zoom platform: “Poverty of the population of Ukraine: main trends and profiles “, to which all who were interested were invited. Such a painful and relevant topic for our population has attracted the attention of both NASAA students and students of the Professional College of Business and Analytics of NASAA.
Vladyslav Shyshkin, PhD in Economics, Senior Researcher, Leading Researcher of the M.V. Ptukha Institute of Demography and Social Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Sector for the Study of Living Standards, acquainted the audience with the main theoretical and practical aspects and features of Ukraine’s poverty.
The lecturer highlighted the current state and trends of poverty in Ukraine in the dynamics, regional affiliation, types of settlements, age.
The course of the discussion proved the relevance of this topic. Students gave examples from their lives and asked painful life questions. This showed that research in this area is interesting for students and really affects everyone.
Speaker invited students of the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Auditing to the M.V. Ptukha Institute of Demography and Social Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to practice where they can get acquainted with modern researches of Ukrainian scientists on topical issues of demography and social economy.
