On May 14, 2021, teachers of the Department of Economic and Mathematical Technologies and IT took an active part in the international scientific conference “Grammar Readings-XI”. Among its participants: scientific employees of the Ukrainian Language and Information Fund of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; scientific employees of the institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; scientists of the National Center “Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”; teachers and scientists of Ukrainian universities; representatives of the Scientific Council of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine “Laws of language development and practice of language activity”; representatives of the Scientific Council of the NAS of Ukraine “Information. Language. Intelligence”; representatives of the National Library of Ukraine named after V.I. Vernadsky; representatives of the All-Ukrainian Society “Knowledge”; representatives of the Book Chamber of Ukraine; representatives of the Ukrainian Association for Information Processing and Image Recognition.
Within the framework of this event a round table “Ukrainian Language and Information Fund of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine – 30 years: fundamental achievements, scientific prospects, horizons of all-Ukrainian and international cooperation” was held. It discussed urgent issues of language resources in modern society, in particular, Olga Ershova, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Economic and Mathematical Technologies and IT of the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Auditing made a report “Digitalization of language resources: prospects, opportunities and threats “, Alexander Stavytsky Ph.D., Associate Professor, Associate Professor of Economic and Mathematical Technologies and IT of the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Auditing made a report” Digitalization of the human social sphere. ” All issues discussed at the round table are urgent and modern. The participants of the event discussed issues of not only linguistics and philology; much attention was paid to the implementation of modern IT to the use of cultural and linguistic resources in the lives of citizens. The Ukrainian Language and Information Fund of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is a base of practice for students of different courses and a research partner of the department. The partnership is multifaceted, the main area of cooperation is the study of opportunities for digitization of language resources and their use on various gadgets. NASAA students participated in an international project to create an interactive dictionary of multimedia literacy. In perspective – participation in other similar projects.
