On October 25, 2024 the Head of Department of Statistics, IT and Mathematical Methods in Economics, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor – O. Horobets attended the webinar presented by Chun-houh Chen, Ph.D., Director of the Institute of Statistical Science at Academia Sinica (Taiwan) and President-Elect of the International Association for Statistical Computing. The webinar topic: “Data Visualization and Exploratory Data Analysis with Matrix Visualization”. The webinar was organized with the support of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC) and the International Statistical Institute (ISI). During the presentation, Chun-houh Chen focused on the characteristics of Data Science and highlighted the features and complexities of big data analysis.

On November 18, a regular meeting of the student scientific society “Digitalization of society and business: challenges and opportunities for young people” took place. Thematic panel “Internet of Things – an environment for building a smart society”, moderator – Associate Professor of Economics and Mathematics and IT Stavytsky O. At the beginning of the meeting, the moderator made an introductory report in which he acquainted the audience with the issues of the day. Annually the All-Ukrainian Contest of Student Art Works “IT Fantasies and Cybernetics” is held at the Department of Economics and Mathematical Sciences and Information Technologies of the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit. On December 5, 2018, at the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit, the XVI International Scientific and Practical Conference on the occasion of the Day of Statistics Workers “Statistics in Ukraine and the World: Status, Trends and Development Prospects” was held.
