Shakespeare Readings at NASOA 2025

On May 15, 2025, the annual Shakespeare Readings took place at the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit, prepared and conducted by members of the “English Club” student society of the Foreign Languages Department.

The participants of the meeting immersed themselves in the magical influence on humanity’s spiritual existence through William Shakespeare’s drama “Macbeth” and poems from William Blake’s collections “Songs of Innocence” and “Songs of Experience”, and also watched an excerpt from the 2021 American feature film “The Tragedy of Macbeth”, directed by Joel Coen based on his own screenplay.

Students Ivan Kuznetsov, Vladyslava Lapteva, Daria Chaikun, Maryna Grygorashchenko, Vladyslav Kucheruk, and Valeria Samokha performed poems by William Blake, in which the artist depicted opposing states of the human soul.

The meeting moderator and head of the “English Club” student society, Iryna Stohniy, thanked all attendees for engaging with the creative legacy of the Great Master.
