On the basis of interuniversity cooperation of the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Auditing and six HEI of Ukraine – Mykolayiv National Agrarian University, Kharkiv National Economic University of S. Kuznets, Odessa National Polytechnic University, Uzhhorod National University, National Technical University “Dnieper Polytechnic” on April 12, 2021 a guest lecture was held for applicants (more than 100 participants) of the educational and professional program “Accounting and Taxation” on the topic: “Inventory of property and funds of the enterprise.” Doctor of Economics, Professor, Certified Expert of NAQAHE, First Vice-Rector of NASAA – Liudmyla Momotiuk addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
Modern approaches and conditions require a qualitatively new level of education, in particular the use of active teaching methods in HEI. One of such methods is a guest lecture, which encourages students to mental activity, creative process, increases the level of mastering the material. The presence of two lecturers in the audience enlivens the lecture as a traditional form of learning, forms a culture of discussion, teaches students to compare, evaluate, analyze and look at the same phenomenon, but from different angles, to perceive different points of view as those that complement each other.
Lecturers-moderators of the event were: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Head of the Department of Accounting and Taxation of the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Auditing – Maria Telovata and Doctor of Economics, Professor, Excellence in Education, Head of the Department of Accounting and Taxation of Mykolaiv National Agrarian University – Marina Dubinina.
The guest lecture was conducted using the Zoom platform. The study material was supplemented by an interesting, meaningful multimedia presentation, which is built on the principle of image-graphic memorization, which contributes to the formation of the necessary professional competencies for future professional activities in the chosen specialty of higher education. During the lecture, applicants learned about historical approaches to inventory; importance, tasks and its classification; the need to conduct, identify the results of the inventory and their reflection in the account. The lecturers fully revealed the content of each issue of the topic, and the multimedia presentation strengthened the clarity, logic and completeness of the lecture material.
High professionalism, pedagogical skills, competence and activity of lecturers (M.Telovata and M. Dubinina), caused positive impressions, interest, appropriate mental and behavioral reaction of the audience. Applicants had the opportunity to ask questions, express their opinions, get answers, as well as concise, meaningful conclusions.
At the end of the lecture, scientific and pedagogical staff of the HEI of Ukraine noted the progressive, innovative format of the guest lecture, its high theoretical and practical, methodological level that meets modern requirements of higher education, and the “positive” from the lecturers was an interesting, professional-educational film episode, which covers the inventory!
