On the XXX session of the UNESCO General Conference (17.11.1999) it was announced, to “support the linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism” to celebrate International Mother Language Day on February 21 every year starting from 2000. Since of the 6000 spoken languages in the world, about half are threatened with extinction, UNESCO seeks to maintain the language as a sign of the cultural identity among people. For the third year teachers and students of NASAA, on February 20, honor the Day of the Heavenly Hundred, their courage, fortitude and resilience of citizens who gave their lives during the Revolution of dignity, defending the ideals of democracy, defending human rights and freedoms, the European future of Ukraine. Students of the Academy have joined the memory of the fallen heroes. First-year students watched a video about the Advantages of Independence, read poems dedicated to the Heavenly Hundred.
