Redko Oleksandr Yuriiovych

Oleksandr Yuriiovych Redko, professor of the Cathedra for Finance, Banking and Insurance, doctor of economics, professor, rector’s adviser.

He has two higher education diplomas: in accounting and law. He graduated from Kyiv Institute for Trade and Economics in 1972, specialty “Accounting”, and the college “Bakaliar” in 1999, specialty “Law”. PhD in economics (1982), associate professor (1992), doctor in economics (2009), professor (2014).

He is the founder of the academic school of audit in NASAA, which disciples are doctors of economics T.O. Kamenska, N.M. Proskurina, K.S. Surnina, I.M. Dmytrenko and many holders of PhD in economics. He is research adviser and supervisor of doctoral and post-graduate students by the specialty 08.00.09. He has been several times to the U.S. and the U.K. for purposes of internship and studies of audit organization practices.

He has been a member of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine and vice president of the Union of Ukrainian Auditors for more than 12 years. He is the president of “The Guild of Professional Internal Auditors of Ukraine”.

He is a certified practicing auditor (Certificate of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine), a certified internal professional auditor, a certified professional financial auditor.

Awards

The awards were given to O. Redko for the significant personal contribution in the development of theory and practice of audit in Ukraine:

• The Honorary Diploma from Kyiv Mayor (issued 27.11.2002);
• The Honorary Diploma of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (issued 23.08.2006);
• The Certificate of Gratitude from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (issued 25.06.2008);
• The Medal “For Professionalism” from the Union of Ukrainian Auditors, the Badge of Honor from the Audit Chamber of Ukraine.

Research interests

Issues of audit, internal control and audit, business security.

Lecturing

As professor of the National Center for Accounting and Audit, O. Yu. Pedko delivers a course of lectures by the programs of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine, focused on the continual improvement of competencies by practicing auditors in Ukraine.

More than 150 works devoted to issues of control, audit and management.
