On March 11, the Head of the Department of Statistics, IT and Mathematical Methods in Economics, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Olena Horobets attended the Ring the Bell for Gender Equality event, which aims to support women in business, recognize the role of women as equal partners, and overcome stereotypes that limit both women and men.
During the event, representatives of UNDP Ukraine presented “The Gender Dimension of Economy and Human Rights: What Do the Data Say and What Does It Mean?” The experts discussed gender inequality in entrepreneurship and the challenges that women still face in the workplace.
The event was supported by UNDP Ukraine and the Government of Japan as part of the project “Transformational Recovery for Human Security in Ukraine.”
