War and Trauma: International Experience, Ukrainian Approaches and Practice

On February 21, 2025, the Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Economics Victoria PARKHOMENKO and Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy, Law and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines Galyna CHERUSHEVA, members of the Ukrainian Association of Organizational Psychology and Work Psychology, actively participated in the scientific-practical seminar “War and Trauma: International Experience, Ukrainian Approaches and Practice.”

The scientific-practical seminar was aimed at discussing modern approaches to working with psychological trauma during wartime, as well as exchanging experience regarding the support of Ukrainians’ mental health both within the country and abroad.

The seminar was organized by the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine (Department of Social Psychology of Personality, headed by Professor, DSc in Psychology Oksana KREDENTSER) in partnership with Rivne State University for the Humanities and the non-governmental organization “Professional League of Trauma Therapists.”

An important part of the seminar was a series of practical master classes, which gave participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in specific aspects of working with psychological trauma.
