The National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit has existed since 1992.
From 1992 to 2000, the institution was called the Institute of Training Specialists in Statistics and Market, and from 2000 to 2003 – the Institute of Statistics, Accounting and Audit of the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.
By the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated February 24, 2003 No. 89-r, the institution was renamed the State Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit of the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.
By the Decree of the President of Ukraine V. Yushchenko of January 13, 2010 No. 18/2010, the institution received the status of a national university with the official name “National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit”.
Main events
The main events in the history of the Academy are:
Establishment of the National Center of Accounting and Audit at the beginning of the formation of domestic audit in accordance with the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 6, 1993 No. 1042-r. The institution is responsible for training, retraining and advanced training of accountants and auditors, development and publication of methodological and educational manuals on accounting, analysis, audit and auditing.
Licensing and accreditation by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of the Academy’s educational activities in the following specialties: “Accounting and Taxation”, “Economics”, “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market”, “Management”, “Marketing”, “Public Management and Administration”, “Computer Science”, “Law”.
Opening of postgraduate studies in the following specialties:
- Statistics;
- Accounting;
Establishment of professional periodicals:
- In 1998, together with the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the Research Institute of Statistical Research, the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, scientific and information journal “Statistics of Ukraine”;
- In 2003, the collection of scientific papers “Scientific Bulletin of the State Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit” (later – Scientific Bulletin of the National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit)
Well-known Ukrainian scientists work at the Academy, among them: Doctor of Science, Corresponding Member. National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, prof. O.G. Osaulenko, N.O. Parfentseva, V.O. Shevchuk, L.E. Momotyuk, T.G. Bondaruk, O.Y. Redko, S.S. Gerasimenko and others.
The Academy has established fruitful contacts with a number of foreign university foundations and research institutions. Among other advantages, this gives an opportunity to improve the qualifications of the teaching staff of the Academy, to organize practice for the best students abroad.
The Academy offers preparatory courses for applicants.
Postgraduate students can study on the terms of a contract (at the expense of legal entities or individuals) on and off the job in the following specialties: “Statistics”, “Accounting, Analysis and Audit”.
To ensure the training of highly qualified specialists, the Academy has created the necessary material and technical base, including a modern library, a complex of gyms, a computer center, the classrooms of which are equipped with modern computer equipment connected to the Internet, a language laboratory, a medical center, its own dormitory, etc. In all respects, this provision meets the requirements and standards of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The Academy belongs to the system of state statistics of Ukraine.
The Academy has graduated highly qualified specialists for government agencies and organizations, in addition, graduates of the Academy are invited to work in various enterprises and organizations of the business sector.
